Finallly some good news and light at the end of a really long tunnel.

12th April 21 the garden will be open (providing no hitch between now and then).

The marquees will be back up and running in the next couple of weeks. Sadly only one will be heated so if you wish to book a table please email me and I can arrange this for you.

It will be pretty similar to last summer with maximum tables of 6 socially distanced in the garden only, with full table service provided.

The menus will be written in the next couple of weeks and uploaded to the website when they are ready.

Merry Christmas everyone and thank you for all your support in one of the hardest years we’ve ever had.

Sadly one of our kitchen staff members has tested positive for covid today. Based on that all staff members have been contacted and told to self-isolate for 10 days.

I can confirm that no other staff members currently have symptoms and that there is no need for members of the public that have visited this week to isolate.

I will be following all advice given to us by the appropriate authorities.

Please note the pub will now be closed for 10 days as we don’t have enough staff to continue to operate.

All reservations will be contacted by myself over the next few days. The landline will be diverted to my mobile from tomorrow. If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to contact me via email or phone.

Please read all the relevant information you need to visit us over the next few weeks.

  • We can now only operate as a restaurant which means alcohol can only be served with a substantial meal (no, chips do not count). Once you have finished your meal we will not be able to serve any further alcohol.

  • Inside - maximum tables of 6 people from the same household

  • Outside - maximum tables of 6 people from mixed households.

  • Last orders 21:50

  • Face masks must still be worn when entering and moving round the building.

  • Please note I do recommend booking as space is tight still. However this is not essential.

We are going to trial a couple of new ideas J

  • Food will now be served all day from 12-9pm Monday to Saturday. The kitchen will still close at 8pm on Sunday.

  • We will also be doing takeaways during these hours. This will be a collection only service from The Hatch. If anyone in Nunton requires a delivery please let us know I’m sure we can work something out for you.

I will update the new menus in the next couple of days once they have been finalised.

As the weatther is starting to change space is drastically reduced so please do call ahead to book a table.

The guidelines have changed once again. We can now only seat a maximum of 6 people per table so please note that we can not take bookings for more than 6 people.

After a fantastic opening weekend we are back to some normality. Our full menu is up and running (feel free to download it from the home page). 

We will be open from 12pm-10pm every day and serving food from 12-3pm and 6pm-9pm. Sunday food weill be served from 12pm-8pm. Booking is not essential (except Sunday's) we have plenty of space.


I have updated the first page of the website with the menus for Saturday and Sunday feel free to download them and have a look.

We will be open as normal from Monday 6th July from 12:00 until 22:00. Food will be served from 12:00-15:00 & 18:00-21:00 Monday to Saturday and 12:00-20:00 on Sunday. We are just finalising the new menu at the moment but I'm hoping to have this fully implemented by Monday.


Visiting the pub during Covid-19 


First of all I would like to welcome you all back and thank you for your continued support.


We have been working really hard to make sure everything is set up properly for Saturday, so please understand that there will be quite a few regulations that need to be followed.


Entrance through the front door on a one in one out basis. Collecting your first round of drinks, menus and cutlery and then exiting through the double doors to the garden to your reserved table which will be clearly marked. 


All tables are positioned with social distancing in place so please don't move them.


You are allowed to sit in a maximum of 2 households or 6 individuals. 


The hatch in the garden has been reinstated and all food and drink (once you are in the garden) is to be ordered from there using your table number. 


Card payments are preferred and we are running a no tab policy. 


All food will be served to your table.


We ask that all crockery and glasses when finished with be stacked at the end of the tables so we can clear these efficiently and from a distance.


The entrance to the toilets will be from the garden door with queuing up the ramp towards the car park. They will be used on a one in one out policy. They will be cleaned regularly throughout the day.


On leaving please turn the card on your table over so the staff are aware that the table needs to be sanitised and exit through the gate to the front of the pub.


Please note there will be sanitiser points and all entrances to the building. Please use them.

As many of you will be aware we can now re-open on 4th July 2020.

We will be open from 12pm on the 4th July. To ensure the safety of all our staff and customers we will be opening the garden only on Saturday and Sunday and closing earlier at 10pm. The kitchen will be up and running with a reduced menu (tbc) from 12pm until 8pm.
